✨ About the Pattern
This plushie pineapple is made in two parts:
-
The body, worked in the round from the bottom up
-
The leaves, made separately and sewn on top
It stands around 5–7 inches tall, depending on your yarn and how much love (and stuffing) you give it.
Let’s get fruity! 🍍
🍍 Crochet Pineapple Plushie Pattern
🟡 BODY (Yarn: Yellow)
Start with a magic ring.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)
Rnd 2: inc in each st around (12)
Rnd 3: (sc, inc) around (18)
Rnd 4: (2 sc, inc) around (24)
Rnd 5–15: sc in each st (24)
Optional: At this point, embroider diagonal lines criss-crossing the body for a realistic pineapple texture using brown yarn.
Rnd 16: (2 sc, dec) around (18)
Insert safety eyes between rounds 9–10, about 5–6 stitches apart
Stuff firmly with fiberfill
Rnd 17: (sc, dec) around (12)
Rnd 18: dec around (6)
Fasten off and weave in the end.
🍃 LEAFY TOP (Yarn: Green)
We’ll make three layers of leaves, then stack them on top for that full leafy pineapple look.
✨ Small Leaves (Make 3):
Ch 5, starting in 2nd ch from hook:
sc, hdc, dc, sl st — one leaf done.
Repeat 3 times (4 leaves total on the same base).
Fasten off, leave a tail for sewing.
✨ Medium Leaves (Make 3):
Ch 7, then:
sc, hdc, dc, dc, hdc, sl st
Repeat 3 times (4 leaves total)
Fasten off, leave tail.
✨ Large Leaves (Make 3):
Ch 9, then:
sc, hdc, dc x3, hdc, sl st
Repeat 3 times (4 leaves total)
Fasten off, leave tail.
Now layer your leaf sets from largest on the bottom to smallest on top. Sew them securely to the top of your pineapple body, fanning the leaves out a bit as you go.
🧸 FACE (Optional but highly recommended!)
Your pineapple is cute already — but a face? Game-changer.
📌 Eyes: Safety eyes or embroidered French knots
📌 Cheeks: Small circles made with pink yarn OR use blush
📌 Mouth: Simple “U” shape stitched between eyes
